Coming from a lifelong love of fashion, music and art, Kristin began her artist training as a teenager in the suburbs of Chicago. Working in hair salons, cosmetic counters and cosmetics freelancing eventually led her to a National Artist position in Miami with the esteemed Laura Mercier Cosmetics where her well-rounded hair and makeup training prepared her to finally go off on her own. Transitioning into print, editorial and lifestyle work had been her a dream since the beginning and for over a decade, Kristin worked as a professional, independent contractor based in Miami. A dream realized. She is currently based in Palm Beach, Florida.
Nowadays, Kristin is no stranger to on-location work in the Florida sunshine as well as many hours in the studio. Thirty and more looks per day on models in the hot sun and wind from dawn to dusk, maintaining fresh beauty is her comfort zone. She thrives on the intensity of immersing herself in her photographer and clients’ visions with an upbeat attitude and an eagerness to help in any way.
Kristin’s experience and style are what has landed her countless, creatively charged assignments over the years with a wide range of prestigious clientele. Her skill and attention to detail are what make her an excellent candidate for whatever your production’s needs may be but her positive attitude, kind personality and enthusiasm are what truly makes her a joy with whom to partner.
From beauty editorials, catalogs and celebrities to full scale productions such as music videos, TV and commercials, Kristin has worked on almost every kind of set and enjoys the variety that South Florida, Los Angeles and New York’s markets have to offer.
Kristin specializes in HD makeup and works with all hair textures including extensions and hair pieces and often works on-location, in uncontrolled environments as well as in studio, making sure that her styling endures the elements and looks great in any light and in-person.
Kristin Brown’s home base is Miami, though she is available for travel nationally and internationally.
